Phil Stack - Lecturer in Bass and Ensemble

 

Phil has toured the world playing jazz bass in settings from symphony orchestra to solo bass and is one of the greatest jazz bassists to come out of Australia.

 

He brings a broad knowledge of not only acoustic bass but also electric bass and plays everything from trad to funk (he is also a founding member of Thirsty Merc).

 

Phil gives our students bass lessons, ensemble classes, Big Band classes and brings his unique energy to all at JMA.
