David Jones - Lecturer in Ensemble and Drums

 

David Jones is often described both in Australia and abroad as being one of the most innovative and musical drummers in the world. His mesmerising drum solos are dramatic, humorous, surprising and powerful.

 

But David is more than just a highly aclaimed musician, he also has that rare ability to inspire others. Whilst much of this is accomplished through his playing, he also teaches one-on-one and conducts workshops and masterclasses. 

 

Having David on the Faculty at JMA gives, not only our drummers - but all of our students, the opportunity to work with a master of improvisation and communication.
