Angela Davis - Lecturer in Ensemble, Impro and Saxophone

 

Returning to Australia after having lived in New York City for eight years, Angela received a Masters of Music from the University of the Arts and had the opportunity to study with numerous saxophone greats including Dick Oatts, Lee Konitz and Steve Wilson.

In May of 2013 she released her debut album, The Art Of the Melody, to rave reviews throughout the USA and Australia in publications such as the New York City Jazz Record, All About Jazz and The Weekend Australian. The album was officially released at the world-renowned New York City venue – The Kitano.

Angela's latest release is 'Little Did They Know' with Tony Gould and Sam Anning.

Angela brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our students at JMA.
